BURLINGTON, MA - Z Corporation continues to raise the performance standard for 3D printing with today's unveiling of the ZPrinter® 310 Plus, which creates the most detailed parts in its price class at unparalleled speed. The ZPrinter 310 Plus embodies Z Corp.'s ongoing effort to incorporate high-end 3D printing capabilities into its entry-level products. In addition to the new machine, Z Corp. announced zp®130, a new high-performance composite material that enables faster printing, greater detail and richer color.

Available today, the value-priced ZPrinter 310 Plus incorporates many key features of Z Corporation's premium Spectrum Z™510 printer - including higher-definition 3D printing, a heated build chamber, and advanced firmware. The company demonstrated the ZPrinter 310 Plus today at the Z Corporation User Group Meeting 2005 (UGM 2005) at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth, N.H.

"The 310 Plus is capable of printing incredibly complex geometries, and the new zp130 material delivers all the detail and smooth surfaces of the real thing," said Steve Hunt, Consulting Engineer at Millipore Corp. (NYSE: MIL), an $883 million bioprocess and bioscience products and services company. "I am impressed with the durability of these parts right out of the machine, and with the clarity of the intricate features in our product designs. The ZPrinter 310 Plus with zp130 is a winning combination."

The ZPrinter 310 Plus' 300x450 dpi resolution is the highest in its class - 50 percent finer than the ZPrinter 310 System, which the ZPrinter 310 Plus will replace. The heated build chamber combined with the new zp130 material enable users to print more complex geometries and thinner-walled parts, up to 25 percent faster than the original entry-level platform. Despite the new capabilities, the new ZPrinter 310 Plus remains one of the most affordable 3D printers on the market, priced the same as its predecessor at $25,900.

zp130 is a multipurpose powder designed to work specifically with heated build chambers such as the one in the ZPrinter 310 Plus. With zp130, Z Corp. 3D printers produce parts up to 25 percent faster and deliver improved feature definition and richer colors. Richer color is particularly advantageousto users of the Z Corp Spectrum Z510 printer - the only multi-color 3D Printer on the market - as well as to users of the ZPrinter 310 Plus, a monochrome printer with a wide range of single color options. zp130 is compatible with the ZPrinter 310, ZPrinter 310 Plus, Spectrum Z510 and Z406 Systems.

"The high quality and rich color of ZPrinter 310 Plus parts are unprecedented at an entry-level price," said Z Corp. CEO Tom Clay. "We want to make high-quality 3D printing affordable enough to be on the desk of every design engineer, and the ZPrinter 310 Plus is a significant step in that direction."
