CFO and VP of sales bring industry experience and financial expertise to 3D software start-up.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C, June 2, 1999 - Geomagic, Inc., provider of the only automatic solution for converting scan data to manufacturable digital models, today announced the appointments of Willis G. Lumpkin to vice president and CFO and Lon D. Lohmiller to vice president of sales. Mr. Lumpkin will be responsible for financial management and operations. Mr. Lohmiller is charged with building the company's worldwide sales team including all direct, reseller, and telesales efforts.

Willis Lumpkin is a seasoned financial executive and brings a wealth of knowledge to Geomagic. In his 20-year career, Mr. Lumpkin has held high-level financial positions at Fortune 500 corporations and small, privately held organizations. His range of experience includes having successfully reengineered the accounting department at a $100-million company and having raised venture capital for start-up organizations. Previous positions include senior investment officer - World Banking Division at Bank of America and treasurer for Measurex Corporation. Through his consulting firm, CF Advisors, he also served as CFO for MoliChem Medicines, Inc. and Structure House. His responsibilities at Geomagic include financial management, investor relations, long-term planning, human resources, and operations. Mr. Lumpkin graduated from Brown University with a BA in applied mathematics and received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Lon D. Lohmiller joins Geomagic from Parametric Technology Corporation, the market share leader for high-end CAD/CAM/CAE applications. During his six-year career at PTC, Mr. Lohmiller rose through the ranks from sales representative to area vice president. He was responsible for building sales teams in several regions and was accountable for up to $40 million in revenue. At Geomagic, he is charged with implementing corporate-wide sales procedures and developing the company's sales force. Mr. Lohmiller has a proven track record of building high-energy, performance-driven sales organizations that consistently exceed goals. Prior to joining PTC, he held various sales positions at American Software, Comshare, and United Airlines. Mr. Lohmiller graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a BA in political science and a BA in international relations.
