CFO plays central role in helping Geomagic strengthen financial management and bolster market leadership

Research Triangle Park, NC, September 29, 2009- Steve Carnevale, chief financial officer for 3D software company Geomagic, has received a 2009 Movers and Shakers award from Business Leader magazine. The annual award recognizes up-and-coming business leaders in the greater Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill region of North Carolina.

Since joining Geomagic as CFO in January 2008, Carnevale has played a central role in several important initiatives within the company. He provided support for the plan that led to Geomagic securing $8 million in funding from Valhalla Partners last year, and he has vastly improved processes for better financial control, reporting and business intelligence. Carnevale's fiscal guidance has helped Geomagic remain strong financially and placed the company in a position to extend its leadership position and build upon its strategy for significant market growth.

"I am honored to receive this award on behalf of Geomagic," says Carnevale. "We have an extremely talented, smart and dedicated group. My role is to provide the team with timely and accurate information to drive decision-making."
