3DS is excited to announce that we will be celebrating the creative and professional opportunities within 3D printing as part of 3D Print Week New York, April 13 – 17th. As the event is still several weeks away, we are appeasing our excitement by beginning our celebration early through the launch of a 3DS Design Challenge, centered around Home of the Now décor and furniture designed for 3D printing. As part of our ongoing work with Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, finalist designs of our “Designing the Future” competition will be sold as limited edition pieces on Cubify, with proceeds benefiting the museum. The overall Design Challenge winner will also receive a Cube 3D printer. Think you have what it takes? Get started today! The competition is up and running, with full rules here.

If you’ll be in New York during 3D Print Week, come see us at the Javit’s Center and check out our first ever Cubify Pop-Up Shop to showcase the 3D printed lifestyle through 3D fashion, décor, and crafting, as well as our desktop Cube 3D printers and handheld Sense 3D scanners. The Pop Up Shop will be open April 16th & 17th, and on April 18th, we will be hosting free 3D printing workshops at the Cooper Hewitt Design Center in Harlem, open to kids ages seven to twelve. (Advance registration is required.)

Mark your calendars – we hope to see you there!
